Reading Avenue(tm) is skills-based supplemental reading program. Great for small group, reading intervention, special education, ELL, ESL, summer reinforcement and after school programs. Primary skills include:| Connections | Main Idea and Details | Predictions | | Story Elements I | Visualizing | Vocabulary I | | Compare and Contrast | Following Directions | Inference | | Story Elements II | Sequencing | Vocabulary II |
Secondary skills include: fluency, sequencing, phonics, following directions, recognizing patterns, compare and contrast and writing. Use appropriately leveled Kaeden books with the original stories as a springboard for learning and practicing fundamental reading skills. Activity cards are displayed, used with a pocket chart, put in sequence, read by students or used in hands-on activities to engage students in literacy experiences that provide nonstop learning.
